Broadband in Minnesota
The Border to Border Broadband Development Grant Program was created in 2014 to provide resources for building broadband infrastructure in rural areas currently without high speed service. Since 2014, over $20MM in funding has been used to incentivize private sector broadband providers to build out more connections for fiber, cable etc. These networks will especially target rural locatons that suffer from a lack of access to fast internet (speeds of 25 mbs download and 3 mbps upload).
