Broadband in California
In general, California is very well connected state. As far back as 2008, the California Broadband Task Force reported that 96% of homes had some sort of broadband connection. However, The California Broadband Council remains responsible for strategic oversight of continued high speed network deployment. Their goal is to facilitate cooperation between public agencies and private service providers to ensure that all communities, no matter how rural have the access they need. Fast connection speeds will enable homes, local business, small companies and municipal organizations to participate in the digital economy.
